March 20th 2010 sees Winford Manor's 1st Murder Mystery night.

A Night at the BARFs

A 1930s Murder Mystery

The glamorous world of Show Business is the setting for this exciting Murder Mystery, featuring five professional actors who will escort you into a world of murder mystery intrigue.

Somerset, 1937. It is the age of the silver screen and Britain’s film industry is flourishing. Shepherdham Studios has been nominated in eight categories at this year’s British Awards for Radio and Film (the BARFs) and their four biggest stars will be attending the ceremony.

Historic Winford Manor is playing host to the Ceremony this year, having recently been featured in the popular thriller ‘The Blood Red Earth’ and they are pulling out all the stops to ensure that the great and good of show business will be well looked after.

Matinee idol of yesteryear Walter Wilde and his on-screen partner Davinia Thompson are pitted against youthful arch-rivals (and fellow Shepherdham Studios stars) Mr Shirley Pratt and the stunning Holly Berét in the competition for Best Actor and Best Actress.

This is the first time that one studio has achieved the distinction of having two nominees in each category and rumours are rife of arguments and petty jealousies between the two couples.

Autocratic studio boss Marcus Heavyweight will be travelling to Winford Manor to witness the winners receive the coveted BARF trophies, but will he have his hands full with his warring employees? Director of Shepherdam’s recent blockbuster ‘Who Whistled at Mother’, Mr Lester Board, will be on hand to assist and certainly seems prepared for a long night. Just how does he stay so alert?

The brightest stars in show business are out in force for the Gala Dinner – but will everyone make it to the Award Ceremony in one piece?

Join the cast and crew of Shepherdham Studios for a night you will never forget.

Tickets are now available for £38 per person to incude a Cocktail & Canapes, Two course delicious dinner and dancing until midnight.
